More than Food
Our foodbank is running a More Than Food Program. This means that we are providing additional support alongside emergency food, to help people address the underlying issues behind their crisis.
Our foodbank works in partnership with professionals who can offer you additional help in the following areas:
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
Networking and Coffee Morning (Fresh Food Friday)
Budgeting and Money ManagementBefriending Service
Clothes Bank – (We are currently not collecting clothes)
We are partnering with Clarion Futures to provide more support for the community and help them into employment.
Clarion Housing Group’s charitable foundation, Clarion Futures, has helped more than 15,000 people into work since its launch in 2017.
In 2021-22, they worked with their partners across the country to help 3,717 people into work. They also supported more than 5,000 people into training to prepare them for employment.
Their trained specialists work to help their residents and non-residents by:
- Giving careers advice
- Helping with interview techniques
- Putting CVs together
- Working with Microsoft to deliver free digital skills training for our residents
- Providing support in finding employment and training
Personalised support packages help people overcome obstacles and gain the skills they need. Clarion helps people to enter or return to the workplace and fulfil their potential.
Employers have a vital role in their jobs and training programme. They provide work placements, apprenticeships, and job opportunities.
The work they do to help people find work or training is part of one of the country’s biggest programmes of social investment, run by Clarion Futures.
