Please see information below on how Rainham Foodbank is operating during the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Foodbank is currently giving food via home delivery only. We are not handing out food parcels at the Foodbank itself during the pandemic. Volunteer drivers are working to bring the parcels to clients.
Referrals are being accepted in the form of an e-referral (from voucher holders, including Havering Volunteer Centre) or self-referral.
Process for Food Delivery
Please click on the links below to see the more detailed process of how the Foodbank is going about providing food to clients during the Coronavirus crisis, and an outline of the rota being used for volunteers who are sorting and packing parcels.
Rainham Foodbank is currently closed for food distribution. We are only open for drop off of food donations, volunteers sorting and packaging food and for volunteer drivers. The office opening hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Our Hornchurch distribution centre (Holy Cross Church) is still operating with its usual opening hours (Wednesdays, 10am-12pm).
Counselling sessions are taking place online only. If you wish to book a session, please call our office landline number on 01708 397484.
Our advocacy adviser is currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for remote appointments over the phone. If you wish to make an appointment, please call our office landline on 01708 397484, or mobile on 07367 335970.
