On Saturday 30th May, Rainham Cricket Club opened their doors as a collection point for all members to drop off food donations intended for Rainham Foodbank. The response was immense and very generous.
The total amount of food collected within the three hours allocated was a whopping 473kg.
Thank you to Nick Thwaites, who undertook a media drive months in advance to raise awareness of the event. Thank you also to all who helped to make this event possible. We are indeed very thankful and grateful, especially in this time of extreme need in our community.
